Carrie’s Research

About Carrie’s Work:

Carrie is a cognitive neuroscientist studying how early life experiences shape brain development and long-term mental health. Their research focuses on how stress affects the body, particularly in underrepresented communities, and they are passionate about making neuroscience more inclusive and accessible. They work on developing culturally adaptive research methods to reduce barriers to participation in biological studies and improve representation in academic literature. By bridging gaps in research, they hope to contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of how diverse life experiences influence brain and mental health outcomes.
